The City has centralized its renter program information onto one site of its website www.toronto.ca/renterhelp.  This page provides information on tenant rights, tenants supports, how to find housing and information about the RentSafeTO program.

This outlines the eviction process, tenant's rights in the process, outlines what the difference between an eviction notice versus an order and resources to assist fight an eviction.  The document also provides tools such as sample letters to use to communicate with your landlord. 

Housing Help Centres

The Housing Help Centres listed are non-profit agencies that help people find and keep housing and avoid eviction. Housing help services are available in most shelters and many drop-ins as well. Click HERE for a list of housing help centres near you.
