The Toronto Shelter Network conference provides a unique opportunity for 24-hour emergency homelessness providers (shelter, respite and 24-hour drop-in providers) to share and learn from their peers. It is also a chance for community partners, policy makers, researchers, those with lived experience, and others to engage with the shelter sector.

The conference offers practical opportunities for learning, knowledge sharing, and collaboration through workshops, panel presentations, and forum discussions.

THEME

The theme for the 2024 conference is Innovative Partnerships and Projects: A Collaborative Approach to Addressing Homelessness. The homelessness serving sector understands that addressing homelessness involves more than conventional methods. It recognizes the interconnected nature of healthcare, diverse resources, underfunding and their integral roles in tackling prevalent issues. It requires innovation, collaboration, and a concerted effort from various sectors. By working together, different sectors can leverage their unique strengths and resources to create impactful solutions that go beyond temporary relief to foster sustainable change in addressing homelessness.
